Bejeweled Party Punch
Little pirates will love the tasty jewels in this drink. The night before, fill ice trays with red fruit punch. Use frozen lemonade for crystals. To add atmosphere why not introduce into your punch bowl a mutineer's floating hand? Make the hand by filling a CLEANED latex glove with water or juice. Seal with a rubber band and freeze. (Be aware some people are allergic to latex.)
Serve the red ruby ice and lemonade crystals in clear plastic cups with lemonade. Additional jewels can be made with different colors of food coloring.
Grog
All children love dark cola and even more when you call it grog. Serve out of an interesting shaped bottle with a label saying grog for maximum effect.

Shark or Alligator
Cut small "v's" at one end of the watermelon to resemble a mouth with teeth and scoop out the insides into little melon balls. Then fill the fish's mouth with to melon balls, grapes, etc.
Blue Jell-O w/Gummy Octopus
Suspended in the middle to look like the ocean.

Have a tray of fresh nuts, raisins, and dried fruit.

Captain 's Treasure Cupcakes
Cupcakes with the tops sliced off, add jelly beans and frosting and push the tops back into the frosting to make it look like the open lid of a treasure chest.
Volcano Cake
* Chocolate cake mix
* Chocolate ice cream
* 1 Can cherry pie filling
* Chocolate cookie crumbs
1) Prepare cake according to directions - bake in a bundt pan
2) Invert cake onto a large plate & cool completely
3) Fill to center of the cake with scoops of ice cream
4) Top with cherry pie filling (lava) and drizzle down sides of the cake.
5) Sprinkle top of volcano with crushed cookie crumbs.
Pirate Hat Cake
This cake was made by using a round cake and cutting it in half. Standup next to each other with round side up and frosting or filling in-between the two layers. Then using a piece of paper draw the hat. Lay the paper up against the cake and use a knife to cut out indentations like the picture below. Frost the cake and decorate. Use fondant to create the skull and crossbones.


Pirate Party Cake
Make your own pirate cake with a regular 9x13 sheet cake. Frost part of the cake blue for the sea. Sand is frosted light brown with toasted coconut on top. Stand "Play-Mobil" or Fisher- Price Pirate figures on top. Party supply stores will carry plastic palm trees.

Skull & Cross Bone Cake
Frost with chocolate frosting. Use frosting tube to make a skull and cross bones. Put a frosting eye patch and bandana on the skull. Edge the cake with a design. Use fish on sides. Place colorful small candies as jewels around the cake. You could use rectangular snack cakes for treasure chests, Cut tops to hinge like a chest and fill with candies. Set these at corners of cake.
Pirate Island Cake
Rectangular cake decorated with wavy blue butter cream. Make an island out of an upside down muffin cake, decorate green to make an island. Decorate with Play Mobile pirate toys.



Pirate Clipper Cake
Bake a cake mix in two round pans. Cut each in half. Use icing to stick the four layers together. Cut a small bit off the rounded end and stand the cake up to look like the hull of a pirate ship. Ice it with chocolate frosting, then stick broken pieces of chocolate bars to the sides to make the hull look wooden. Place a bamboo skewer into the top for a mast to fly a pirate flag (made out of construction paper). Place a few toy pirate figures on top of the cake. When serving place crumpled blue cellophane around the base of the cake for an ocean. A toy shark or dolphin in the "ocean" makes a nice finishing touch.
Pirate Treasure Cake
Use M&Ms ("M" side down) as jewels. String candy as in picture. Use Gummi candy as jewels, too!. Gold-wrapped chocolate coins add a nice touch!
